How do you show off all of the stylistic features Lexus has to offer in a Halloween-appropriate way?
Make them the stars of some frighteningly fun comics, of course!
The comics were posted to Lexus Canada’s Instagram in Stories and as in-feed posts during October 2021.
This project was completed during my Agency Lab internship at dentsu mcgarrybowen.
FRAME 1: She sees a sinister light in the distance. As she approaches, it grows brighter and more intense.
FRAME 2: Fear grips her as she tightly grasps the steering wheel. It is as if she is being pulled toward the portal by a mysterious force.
She sees no way out.
(Speech Bubble: Hey, Lexus...)
FRAME 3: Is her fate sealed? No. She asks the Intelligent Virtual Assistant to find an alternate route. The Assistant tells her to turn left just ahead so she can focus on the road.
FRAME 4: She makes an escape, relieved to be headed home rather than into The Portal of the Unknown.
FRAME 5: WISHING YOU A STARTLINGLY SINISTER HALLOWEEN.
FRAME 1: The clouds part. Through the Panoramic Moonroof, he catches a glimpse of the full moon.
FRAME 2: A bead of sweat drips down his temple. He lets out a guttural howl.
(Sound Effects: ARRHH... ...OOOOO)
FRAME 3: He anxiously closes the Panoramic Moonroof before the Werewolf in him takes hold.
(Sound Effects: REACH...CLICK!)
FRAME 4: He breathes a sigh of relief as the traffic light turns green.
(Sound Effects: VROOOOOOM...)
FRAME 5: WISHING YOU A HAUNTINGLY HAIR-RAISING HALLOWEEN.
FRAME 1: Abandoned buildings surround him as he approaches his Lexus,
but something lurks behind.
FRAME 2: Sensing something, he turns around and finds himself staring into The Mist's haunting red eyes.
(Sound Effects: WHAA?!)
FRAME 3: Running in terror,
he taps the Lexus App to unlock his vehicle and flash the Hazard Lights – causing The Mist to dissipate.
FRAME 4: He drives into the night, eager to escape those horrible eyes he won't soon forget.
